More spending for people with disabilities in Hesse 2026 - Hesse boosts disability services funding to €2.71 billion by 2026

The Hessian state government has announced a significant boost in funding for disability services by 2026. The State Welfare Association (LWV) will expand its budget to support over 64,000 people with disabilities across the region. This move comes as part of a broader effort to strengthen integration and assistance programs in the coming year.

The LWV’s total budget for 2026 is set to rise to €2.71 billion, marking a €147.5 million increase from 2025. Of this, €2.26 billion will go directly toward integration assistance and support for individuals with disabilities. The organisation expects to serve 64,400 eligible people next year, alongside its ongoing support for 100,000 severely disabled employees through the Integration Office.

With the new budget in place, the LWV will provide enhanced services to thousands of people with disabilities in 2026. The state’s financial backing ensures stability for integration programs, despite reduced contributions from local authorities. The changes reflect a targeted effort to improve support systems for disabled individuals in Hesse.
