Groundbreaking ceremony held: multiple residential homes on Löbtauer Street
New Residential Quarter "Froebel Courts" to Boost Inner-City Living in Dresden
In the heart of Dresden Friedrichstadt, a new residential quarter named "Froebel Courts" is under construction, set to offer 99 owner-occupied apartments by 2027. The project, being realized by the Czech CTR Group, is an important impetus according to Stephan Kühn, the Mayor of Construction.
The Froebel Courts project is strategically located on Löbtauer Straße, a prime location that caters to the high demand for inner-city living space in Dresden. The city is expecting around 20,000 new jobs due to the microelectronics site, which will require housing.
The Froebel Courts project is a comprehensive development, featuring eight multi-family houses connected by an underground garage. This garage will provide parking spaces for cars and bicycles, including spaces for wheelchair users. The central courtyard will be designed as a green oasis with movement areas and various seating options, creating a tranquil haven within the city.
All buildings in the Froebel Courts project are barrier-free, with many apartments fully barrier-free, ensuring accessibility for all residents. Helena Raupach, a representative of the CTR Group involved in the project's real estate development, commented on pricing assurances for buyers. While the average square meter price of the apartments in the Froebel Courts averages 4700 euros, this guarantee is only for the first buyers, as per Raupach.
Dressler Bau, a company that also built the "Marina Garden", will carry out the work for the Froebel Courts project. The project kicked off with a groundbreaking ceremony on Wednesday, marking the beginning of construction on the plot of land on Löbtauer Straße.
The apartments in the Froebel Courts will cater to various needs, with two-room apartments featuring balconies or terraces, as well as three to five-room apartments boasting spacious floor plans, two bathrooms, and home office options for families.
The Froebel Courts project is set to contribute significantly to the housing market in Dresden, providing a modern and accessible living solution in the heart of the city.
