Global Law Firm Announces 2022 Partner Promotions

A prominent global law firm has announced its partner promotions for 2022, elevating 54 lawyers across various locations worldwide. This marks the third consecutive year that the firm has achieved a 40% representation of women in its partner promotions, aligning with its ongoing commitment to gender diversity.

The promotions cover 11 practice areas, including litigation and disputes, corporate, M&A and securities, banking and finance, intellectual property, employment and labor, tax, real estate, projects, antitrust and competition, and information governance, privacy and cybersecurity.

In Hong Kong, Rachel Chan was promoted to corporate, M&A and securities. Denton Nichols and Rafe Schaefer were both promoted to litigation and disputes in Houston, USA. Anna Rudawski was promoted to information governance, privacy and cybersecurity in New York, USA. Veit Sahlfeld was promoted to banking and finance in Hamburg, Germany. Robin Acworth and Jennifer McPherson were promoted to corporate, M&A and securities in Calgary, Canada. Eric Green was promoted to intellectual property in Austin, USA.

Gerry Pecht, Global Chief Executive of the firm, congratulated the promoted lawyers, praising their industry knowledge, business acumen, and innovative solutions. He highlighted the importance of these promotions in driving the firm's continued growth and success.

In addition to the aforementioned promotions, the firm also elevated several lawyers in other locations. For instance, Jonathan Lafrance was promoted to tax in Montréal, Canada. Scott Boucher was promoted to litigation and disputes in Vancouver, Canada. James Lockwood was promoted to litigation and disputes in London, UK. Jenna Anne de Jong, Matthew Buckle, Brigitte LeBlanc-Lapointe, Alison FitzGerald, Fiona Henderson, Russell Dufault, Bernd Dreier, Kimberly Cheeseman, Joshua Sprague, Véronique Barry, Rebecca Abou-Chedid, Brian Chau, Claudia Posluschny, Fahad Siddiqui, Laura Kiwelu, Darren Smith, Kate Green, Alberta Yan, Rebecca Winthrop, Tim Stewart, Jared Kaplan, Nicolas Sirtoli, Geraldine Young, Caroline Jodoin, Nick Sinclair, Brian Milne, Helen Fairhead, Blake Redwine, Harriet Oldmeadow, Paul Cartwright, and Joseph Drapalski were all promoted to various positions within the firm.
