Global collaboration announced between Stake and Street League Skateboarding

Street League Skateboarding (SLS) and online gaming powerhouse Stake have announced a new global partnership. The collaboration, which will run throughout the SLS Championship Tour season, sees Stake become the Presenting Rights Partner of the 2025 SLS Championship Tour.

The partnership will deliver innovative activation elements and experiences for both brands and fans during the tour. Stake's presence will be prominent at major events, starting with SLS Miami and the first SLS Takeover in Santa Monica in May, and continuing through the entire season, culminating at the Super Crown event in São Paulo in December.

Stake will be prominently featured across live events, with branding on key skate course features and broadcast segments at the biggest skateboarding events worldwide. Fans can expect to see the Stake brand integrated into unique SLS social content, such as the "What's at Stake" event preview and the all-new Game of S.T.A.K.E.

The Game of S.T.A.K.E. is a creative twist on the classic Game of Skate, featuring a head-to-head battle between SLS pros. Akhil Sarin, CMO of Stake, believes that skateboarding aligns with Stake's interests in fashion, music, culture, and raw energy.

The partnership also introduces new fan engagement initiatives like the "What's at Stake" event previews and an innovative Game of S.T.A.K.E. Frank Lamicella, CEO of Thrill Sports, has announced that Stake will also be the presenting rights partner of the annual Trick of the Year contest. Skaters worldwide can submit their tricks for the Trick of the Year award, with winners to be announced in December.

The partnership aims to enhance global visibility and brand integration for both SLS and Stake, merging street culture with modern entertainment and gaming culture. It also expands marketing and promotional opportunities that leverage Stake’s digital entertainment platform and appeal to a broader, culturally engaged audience.

Overall, this partnership elevates the SLS Championship Tour's profile worldwide, facilitates new entertainment experiences tied to skateboarding culture, and aligns two brands active in street culture and live events for the 2025 season and beyond.

  1. Akhil Sarin, the CMO of Stake, believes that the partnership with Street League Skateboarding (SLS) aligns with Stake's interests in not only skateboarding but also fashion, music, culture, and raw energy, thus merging street culture with modern entertainment and gaming culture.
  2. Skaters worldwide will now have an opportunity to engage with Stake, as the partnership introduces new fan initiatives like the Trick of the Year contest sponsored by Stake, where winning tricks will be announced in December.
