Donations for the Weakest - Germany’s *A Heart for Children* Telethon Returns December 6 on ZDF

Germany’s biggest charity telethon, A Heart for Children, returns this December. The live gala will air on ZDF at 8:15 PM on Saturday, December 6—St. Nicholas Eve. Presenter Johannes B. Kerner will lead the event, joined by German and international stars to raise funds for children in need.

The initiative Bild hilft e.V. – A Heart for Children was founded in 1978 by publisher Axel Springer. Originally focused on German projects, it now supports families and aid efforts in 58 countries. Last year alone, the campaign collected over €27 million for global aid projects.

The live broadcast will showcase the impact of past donations while urging new support. Funds raised will go toward medical care, education, and emergency relief for vulnerable children. The event reinforces the message that collective generosity can create lasting change.
