The project team includes 'ce|co' and Stadtwerke Neuwied, working collaboratively with "con|energy consult GmbH" (ce|co) and Stadtwerke Neuwied. Important actors and multipliers will be involved in the project, and the city will create opportunities for public participation to ensure transparency and engagement throughout the process.
Local or district heating networks are potential supply options that could be explored in the project, as the city seeks to expand its district heating networks and integrate renewable energy sources like solar thermal, biomass, and geothermal. Technologies under consideration include heat pumps, waste heat recovery, and low-carbon district heating systems.
It is worth noting that neither private households nor companies will be obligated by the municipal heat planning.
