AssetMark Expands into Private Markets for Enhanced Portfolio Diversification

AssetMark, a leading wealth management firm, has announced plans to expand into private markets, launching new offerings in Q4 2025. The initiative aims to help advisors create more resilient and personalized portfolios, addressing the evolving expectations of younger clients seeking holistic financial planning.

The expansion will involve private credit, private real estate, and private equity funds, chosen for their differentiated return potential and long-term outcome enhancement. These capabilities will be integrated into discretionary strategies and dynamic Unified Managed Accounts (UMAs), providing advisors with access to professionally managed exposure through integrated models, semi-liquid private funds, and streamlined workflows powered by AssetMark’s technology platform.

Emphasis will be placed on rigorous due diligence, thoughtful asset allocation, and a digitally enabled, advisor-first experience to make private markets intuitive, scalable, and aligned with advisor needs. This strategic focus aims to enhance advisors' ability to build modern, diversified portfolios, with access to rebalancing tools and digital client communications.

The goal of this expansion is to improve portfolio diversification and long-term outcomes while simplifying advisor workflow. AssetMark believes private markets can serve as a strategic core allocation, offering diversification from public markets and enhancing investor long-term goals.

The firm is committed to making private market investments easy, accessible, and actionable through integrated managed models, rebalancing tools, and digital client-ready communications. More details on the private markets program will be available soon.

Lou Maiuri, the Group CEO and Chairman of AssetMark, and David McNatt, the Executive Vice President and Chief Wealth Solutions and Strategy Officer, are leading this initiative. The expansion is intended to help advisors meet the evolving expectations of their clients while providing them with the tools they need to lead with confidence as the market and client base evolves.
