Master Bakery Schneckenburger Set to Open in Spaichingen

After a year of planning and discussions, the Master Bakery Schneckenburger from Tuttlingen and architectural firm Jarcke from Freudenstadt have received approval from the Spaichingen city council for a new bakery branch. The location, at Hauptstraße 35, south of the ox circle between B 14 and Primstraße, opposite the Lidl branch, is expected to open its doors to the public in mid-2026.

The project has received praise from city council members, with Walter Thesz (SPD) and Tobias Schumacher (CDU) both expressing their belief that the area will be enhanced by the new addition. However, not all council members were in agreement. Stefanie Eski (Greens) had concerns about the number of parking spaces for employees, while Alexander Efinger (Greens) expressed concern about the access road crossing the Primtal cycle path.

The property, which currently houses uninhabited buildings, will be demolished to make way for the new bakery. The building will be constructed using mainly regional wood and prefabricated wooden modules, with the exception of large glass surfaces. Insect-friendly lighting will be a requirement in the planning regulations for the special area, which will also specify the type and scope of the building's use, as well as aspects such as sound protection, environmental protection, and green roofs.

Access to the bakery will be from the roundabout via Obere Bahnhofstraße and Primstraße. A direct connection from the roundabout is not an option due to potential bottleneck. The actual construction time for the building is expected to be six to seven months, with construction set to begin in late autumn 2025 according to Marc Schneckenburger, managing partner of the Master Bakery.

For those seeking more detailed and up-to-date information on the project, it is recommended to check local Spaichingen municipal government or urban development websites, official announcements from the bakery or the project developers, and regional news outlets covering Spaichingen construction projects. Currently, no specific search results are available about the construction status, architectural design, or traffic consequences for the Master Bakery Schneckenburger project in Spaichingen.
