Morgan Murphy Media Announces Executive Promotions

Morgan Murphy Media, a family-owned media company, has announced significant promotions within its ranks. Effective August 12, 2025, Neal Oberg, Chris Cornelius, and Colin Benedict have been promoted to the positions of Chief Digital Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and Chief Innovation Officer, respectively.

Neal Oberg, who has been with Morgan Murphy Media since 1997, has been promoted to the role of Chief Digital Officer. Oberg, most recently serving as the Vice President, Digital, will lead digital strategy, driving audience and revenue growth at the company.

Chris Cornelius, who joined Morgan Murphy Media in 2014 as Vice President, Business Development, has been promoted to the position of Chief Operating Officer. Cornelius will focus on driving operational excellence, revenue growth, and managing network and distribution relationships. Prior to joining Morgan Murphy Media, he served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Barrington Broadcasting.

Colin Benedict, who has been with Morgan Murphy Media since 1988, has been promoted to the position of Chief Innovation Officer. Benedict, previously the group's Vice President of News for the past seven years, will act as a cross-functional strategist to identify, develop, and scale innovative ideas to ensure the company's future growth and relevance. He will also continue to oversee local stations' news and marketing.

These promotions position Morgan Murphy Media for continued growth across operational, digital, and strategic initiatives. The company operates television and radio stations, a magazine, websites, apps, and a digital marketing agency across nine locations.
