Ex-SPD Politician Martina Stamm-Fibich Leads SBK's Political Advocacy Push
Martina Stamm-Fibich has taken on a new role as head of political affairs at SBK Siemens-Betriebskrankenkasse. The former SPD politician brings years of parliamentary experience to the health insurance fund's advocacy work. Her appointment follows a long career in both politics and corporate communication skills.
Stamm-Fibich served as an SPD member of the Bundestag from 2013 to 2025. During this time, she sat on the Health Committee and chaired the Petitions Committee. From 2018, she also acted as the SPD's patient rights spokesperson, focusing on healthcare policy.
Before entering politics, she worked at Siemens in corporate communications and as a works council representative. This background in both industry and employee representation shapes her approach to policy discussions.
In her new position, Stamm-Fibich will lead SBK's political strategy and engagement with policymakers. She has stated her intention to represent the fund's insured members with clarity and pragmatism. Her experience in health policy and advocacy is expected to strengthen SBK's efforts on behalf of policyholders.
Stamm-Fibich's move to SBK marks a shift from legislative work to direct advocacy for health insurance members. Her combined experience in politics, corporate communication skills, and employee representation will guide the fund's political direction. The organization aims to benefit from her insights in upcoming policy debates.
