European businesses and Angolan corporations seal partnership deals in Luanda
In an extraordinary move, the Portugal-Angola Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIPA) has formed a partnership with five other European chambers in Angola. The collaboration, which includes the Angola-Italy Chamber of Commerce, the UK-Angola Chamber of Commerce, the France-Angola Business Club (CEFA), the Delegation of the German Economy in Angola (AHK Angola), and the Swiss Business Council Angola, is set to take place today at the Hotel EPIC Sana Luanda.
The event, scheduled for this afternoon, comes at a significant time, marking Angola's 50th anniversary of independence and CCIPA's 38th anniversary. This partnership is a symbolic moment, not just for celebration, but also to renew commitments and create joint platforms for dialogue, confidence, and investment.
The partnership arises from the shared recognition of post-pandemic economic recovery challenges and the complex international context, which require greater coordination, dialogue, and cooperation between private sectors. The initiative aims to strengthen cooperation between European and Angolan private sectors, enhancing business confidence and promoting the role of foreign investment in Angola.
The partnership facilitates inter-business dialogue, new business partnerships, and building bridges between European and Angolan markets. This is crucial as Angola seeks to diversify its economy and enter a new phase of sustainable growth. João Traça, the president of CCIPA, concluded that the event offers a more integrated and multilateral approach.
The event is described as a privileged space for inter-business dialogue and partnership creation between European and Angolan markets. CCIPA's associates include both Portuguese and Angolan individuals, with approximately 175 participants expected to attend.
The partnership reinforces the appreciation of the role of foreign investment in Angola. It is a strategic and symbolic alliance that underscores a joint commitment to Angola’s economic development and sustainable growth by leveraging European and Angolan private sector cooperation at a significant milestone in Angola’s history.

The collaboration between the Portugal-Angola Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIPA) and five other European chambers, including the France-Angola Business Club (CEFA), aims to strengthen cooperation between European and Angolan private sectors, particularly in the finance and business sectors, given the complex international context and post-pandemic economic recovery challenges.
The event, symbolizing CCIPA's 38th anniversary and Angola's 50th anniversary of independence, serves as a platform for creating joint dialogue and investment opportunities, not just within the French industry but across various sectors between European and Angolan markets.
