Establishes interior component factories in Indonesia and Thailand by Antolin
Antolin Expands Operations in Asia, Focuses on Sustainability and Local Talent
Antolin, the Spanish tier supplier, is making strides in Asia by equipping its plants in Rayong, Thailand, and Cikarang, Indonesia, with the latest technology and sustainable processes. The company is committed to creating skilled employment and sustainable value for local economies in the region.
In Rayong, Thailand, Antolin has opened a new plant for the production of acoustic foams. This plant, which includes an in-house testing laboratory to maintain high levels of quality, will supply existing customers in Indonesia, Malaysia, and Vietnam with interiors for new electric and hybrid models. The Rayong plant, according to Ernesto Antolin, chairman of Antolin, will be a benchmark in innovation and sustainability.
Meanwhile, in Cikarang, Indonesia, Antolin is working with its local partner, PT APM Armada Autoparts (AAA). The partnership is currently producing headliner units and evaluating the potential for producing door panels, lighting systems, and electronic systems. Antolin is also focusing on developing local talent and transferring knowledge in its Asian plants, including Cikarang.
Recycled materials, bio-based adhesives, and ecologically responsible treatments are integrated in the processes of Antolin's plants. The company is not only producing high-quality automotive components but is also making a positive impact on the environment.
Antolin's commitment to sustainability is evident as it joins its OEM customers at the Automotive Logistics and Supply Chain ASEAN conference. The inaugural conference is being held in Singapore on October 28 this year, providing a platform for discussions on the future of the automotive industry in Asia.
The Spanish components maker operates 32 plants and eight technical-commercial offices across Asia, employing over 3,800 people. Antolin is working closely with domestic suppliers in its Asian operations, fostering a collaborative environment that benefits both the company and the local economy.
In conclusion, Antolin's expansion in Asia is not just about business growth. It is about growing together with Thailand and the entire region, supporting the transition towards an electric and connected vehicle. The company's focus on sustainability, local talent development, and collaboration with domestic suppliers sets it apart as a responsible and forward-thinking player in the Asian automotive industry.
