In the heart of Siberia, the Yakutsk GRES team is gearing up for the fifth corporate competitions for operational personnel of thermal power plants within the RusHydro Group. The team, led by Yevgeny Mashanov, the deputy chief engineer for operation, consists of experienced specialists, including Oleg Bakhlyaev (power station shift supervisor), Danil Agafonov (shift supervisor of the first boiler-turbine shop), Bogdan Ivanov (shift supervisor of the chemical shop), Nikolai Seidalov (ASUP engineer), Artem Sergeev (electrician), Vyacheslav Pobeidinsky (senior turbine operator), and Andrei Ignatyev (turbine operator).

The competitions, designed to improve the professional level of workers in the energy sector, will take place at two locations: AO "DGC" in Khabarovsk and the village of Krasnorechenskoye, Khabarovsk Krai. The exact dates for these events, scheduled for 2025, are yet to be announced publicly. However, the fifth competitions are set to take place from September 17 to 23, 2025.

In preparation for the competitions, the team is utilising various instructions and rules to sharpen their skills. Recently, they underwent specialized training in first aid for injured workers at the personnel training center in June of this year.

These competitions, part of the qualification improvement system within the RusHydro Group, have been held annually since 2017. They aim to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement among the operational personnel in Far Eastern energy enterprises.
