The network boasts an impressive 26 qualified angels, hailing from various industries and backgrounds. They include experts and mentors with deep AI expertise, such as Dr. Felix Ulmer-Zuho and Prof. Dr. Rainer Elste, both from GENIUS ALLIANCE. Since its inception, the network has curated a deal flow of relevant opportunities and hosted three inaugural events.

The network is open to new members, businesses seeking funding, and those interested in learning more. It aims to facilitate investment in start-ups founded by Durham alumni. So far, pitches have come from diverse sectors like FinTech, EdTech, sports sciences, and carbon-negative product manufacturing. Seven alumni-led businesses have already pitched to UK and US-based network members.
