DKB's €250 Bonus Lures Savers with New Fixed-Term Deposit Deal

DKB has launched a new promotion for fixed-term deposits, offering customers a bonus of up to €250. The deal runs until March 3, 2026, and requires a minimum deposit of €10,000 for a two-year term. Alongside the bonus, depositors will earn 2.00% annual interest on their savings.

This offer comes as mortgage interest rates across German banks have steadily declined since late 2023, with DKB's own fixed-term rates now peaking at 2.50% for a 10-year commitment.

To qualify for the bonus, customers must open a two-year fixed-term deposit with at least €10,000. The bonus itself ranges from €10 to €250, depending on the amount invested. It will be credited in March 2026 and will earn interest alongside the deposit, compounded and paid quarterly.

The current 2.00% annual interest rate for the two-year term is lower than some competitors. For example, Aareal Bank offers up to 3.0% for similar products, while Crédit Agricole provides 2.8%. However, DKB's rates have followed the broader market trend, dropping from earlier highs—such as its own 3.5% Tagesgeld rate in early 2024.

Beyond the deposit, customers also gain access to DKB's well-regarded current account. This includes no monthly fees for eligible users and free worldwide payments. The bank remains a trusted choice, backed by Germany's legal deposit guarantee and additional protection through the Deposit Protection Fund.

While DKB's fixed-term rates now max out at 2.50% for a 10-year term, the bonus promotion adds an extra incentive. The offer may appeal to those seeking a secure way to grow savings while benefiting from the bank's additional services.

The promotion runs until March 3, 2026, with the bonus paid out the following month. Customers who meet the requirements will receive both the bonus and quarterly interest payments. For those prioritising security and flexibility, the deal combines a fixed return with access to DKB's broader banking perks.
