Interestingly, amidst this meeting, there have been ongoing investment initiatives in the agricultural sector in the Omsk region, particularly in collaboration with Uzbekistan. One such project involves the construction of a logistics hub for storing and distributing agricultural products. Named "Frutsiti," this hub offers modern cold storage facilities, trading areas, and exhibition spaces for both Uzbek and Russian producers. The hub is expected to reduce transportation costs and intermediaries, thus lowering the prices of fresh produce.
The project's first phase has already received an investment of 700 million rubles (approximately $8.33 million) and is projected to create employment opportunities for about 800 Uzbek citizens[1][4].
While this development is significant in terms of investment activities in the Omsk region, it remains unclear whether the dialogue between the regional government and Minister Maxim Reshetnikov involved the specifics of this project or other investment initiatives.
