Denza's Luxury EVs B5 and B8 Set to Revolutionize Australian Market in November 2025
BYD's luxury electric vehicle (EV) brand, Denza, is set to make its Australian debut in November 2025. The first models to arrive in the capital of Australia will be the B5 and B8, marking a significant step for the Chinese automaker in the premium EV market.
The Denza B8, boasting a combined output of 550 kW and 760 Nm, will match the B5's impressive 4.8-second 0-100 km/h sprint and offer a 125 km electric range (NEDC). Both vehicles, priced at an initial investment of $5 million, will utilise BYD's latest Blade LFP batteries, known for their safety and longevity.
The B5, with a combined output of 505kW and 760Nm, will outperform the diesel Prado, accelerating from 0-100 km/h in just 4.8 seconds and offering a 125 km electric range (NEDC). Both models will feature BYD's Dual-Mode Offroad (DM-O) technology, providing genuine electric driving capability and 4x4 performance. Denza aims to compete with established rivals such as the Ford Everest, Toyota LandCruiser Prado, and Nissan Patrol.
Denza's entry into the Australian market, starting with the B5 and B8, signals a new era for premium electric SUVs. With their impressive performance, range, and safety features, these vehicles are poised to challenge established players and offer Australian consumers a fresh, luxurious EV option in the best electric cars 2025.
