Denmark: Television Receiver Market 2025
Denmark’s television receiver market saw mixed trends in 2024. While production and exports continued their downward slide, imports rose sharply for the first time in four years. The market itself also shrank further after a peak in 2020.
The value of Denmark’s television receiver production dropped to $X in 2024. This decline followed a steep fall from 2022, marking a continued contraction in local manufacturing. Exports also fell significantly, reaching $X in 2024 after years of reduction. Despite this, Sweden remained the top destination, taking a X% share of all Danish television exports.
On the import side, Denmark brought in X units in 2024, an increase of X% from the previous year. This marked the first rise since 2020, though overall import trends had been declining. Sweden was again the largest supplier, accounting for a X% share of total imports. The average import price per unit stayed nearly flat at $X, showing little change from 2023.
Domestic consumption of television receivers in Denmark had peaked at $X in 2020. Since then, demand has remained lower, with the market shrinking to $X by 2024. This followed three straight years of decline, reflecting weaker consumer interest or shifting purchasing habits.
The Danish television receiver sector now faces contrasting pressures. Production and exports have weakened, yet imports have rebounded slightly. With Sweden playing a key role in both exports and imports, the market’s future will depend on balancing these opposing trends.
