Davaso rebrands as IQVIA Health System Services after five-year transition

Davaso, a key player in Germany's healthcare IT sector, is rebranding as IQVIA Health System Services (IQVIA HSS). The change comes five years after its acquisition by U.S. data giant IQVIA in 2021. The company's core operations, including disease management and invoice verification, will continue under the new name.

Davaso was created in 2017 when Inter-Forum and Syntela merged under the Brenninkmeijer family's ownership. Two years earlier, investment firm Montagu had taken a 90% stake in the business before selling it to IQVIA. The rebranding aligns the company with its parent group while maintaining its established role in Germany's healthcare system.

The bulk of Davaso's €112 million annual revenue comes from verifying invoices for healthcare services, accounting for 62% of its income. Disease management programmes (DMP) bring in 8%, while prescription audits contribute less than 2%. Its IT subsidiary, Comline, adds another 12% to the total.

Despite the name change, existing contracts, processes, and points of contact will stay the same. The acquisition in 2021 did not alter legal frameworks, data protection, or security standards. IQVIA HSS will now oversee prescription audits in Germany under its own brand, inheriting Davaso's—and previously Inter-Forum's—strong position in the DMP sector.

The rebranding marks the final step in IQVIA's integration of Davaso. Clients and partners will see no disruption to services, as all operations remain unchanged. The company continues to serve as a major provider in Germany's healthcare administration under its new identity.
