Crossword Clues for NYT Sunday, March 23 Edition: Solutions and Sneak Peeks

Revamped Article:

Hey there, pals! I hope you're cruising through this weekend like a well-oiled machine! I'm planning to kick back and relax today. Just vegging out, catching up on my favorite shows, and being the laziest potato imaginable.

Fancy joining me for a chat about the NYT's Connections game? We've set up a lively discussion group on Discord just for that purpose! And trust me, it's not just about the game - we talk about a whole bunch of other stuff too, and everyone who's joined has been simply fantastic. Plus, it's the perfect place to give me feedback on this column, in case I ever mess something up (which, let's be honest, happens once in a blue moon).

So without further ado, here are today's hints and answers for Sunday, March 23.

How to Play Connections

Connections is a free, fun daily word game from the NYT, and you get a fresh puzzle every day at midnight. You can play it on the NYT website or their Games app.

  • Frase ByForbesTM: Unscramble the anagram to reveal the phrase
  • Pinpoint By Linkedin: Guess the category
  • Queens By Linkedin: Crown each region
  • Crossclimb By Linkedin: Unlock a trivia ladder

You're given a grid of 16 words, and your goal is to group them into four four-word arrays by figuring out the connections between them. Each group is color-coded, with yellows being the easiest, blues and greens in the middle, and purples being the trickiest, usually involving wordplay.

If you guess incorrectly, you'll lose a life. If you're close, you might receive a message telling you that you're very close, but you'll still need to figure out the exact word(s) to swap. If you make four mistakes, it's game over.

Hints

  • Yellow group: Attract attention
  • Green group: Flying creatures or modes of transportation
  • Blue group: Related to time or observation
  • Purple group: Repeated words in a nursery rhyme

Today's Connections Groups and Answers

  • Yellow group: Attract attention (Absorb, Entrance, Grab, Rivet)
  • Green group: Flying creatures or modes of transportation (Airplane, Fairy, Fly, Hospital)
  • Blue group: Related to time or observation (Pocket, Smart, Stop, Wrist)
  • Purple group: Words in "Miss Mary Mack" (Back, Black, Buttons, Mack)

And that's a wrap! As with other similar games such as Wordle, feel free to share your results with friends on social media and in group chats. If you're an NYT All Access or Games subscriber, you can access the archives for every previous Connections game.

For older games, you should be able to find my hints through a simple Google search by adding the date of the game to your query. For example, if you need clues or answers for a game on March 22, simply search "Connections March 22 hints" or "Connections March 22 answers."

Now, where's that comfy couch? I think it's time for me to become a human hammock!

Oh, and before I forget, here's a calming tune to help you wind down: Why Are There Boundaries by FKJ. Enjoy the rest of your day! Stay hydrated! Call someone you love!
