Covr Financial Names New CEOs After Mergers and Strategic Expansion
Covr Financial Technologies has named two new leaders to its executive team. Sam Barnett takes over as Chief Executive Officer, while Bob Klein becomes Chief Distribution Officer. The appointments come after Covr’s recent merger with Optifino and the acquisition of VIBE’s team.
Barnett and Klein previously co-founded VIBE Insurance Services, a firm focused on modernising insurance distribution. Their team will now join Covr, ensuring VIBE’s independent-agency clients retain support while gaining access to Covr’s broader resources and technology. The move follows Covr’s merger with Optifino, which combined Covr’s compliance and operational systems with Optifino’s AI-driven platform and VIBE’s expertise in agency services.
Sam Barnett brings experience from senior roles at Global Atlantic and Lincoln Financial, specialising in client-focused strategies for insurers and insurtechs. Bob Klein is known for designing Lincoln Financial’s MoneyGuard long-term care product and has led teams across multiple insurance carriers and distribution networks. Both see Covr’s scale, infrastructure, and tech as a chance to transform how insurance reaches customers.
Current CEO David Kleinhandler will shift to Chairman of the Board. In this role, he will concentrate on long-term strategy, guiding the company’s direction, and securing investment.
The leadership changes follow Covr’s expansion through mergers and acquisitions. Barnett and Klein will now lead the company’s day-to-day operations, while the VIBE team integrates into Covr’s structure. The combined resources aim to strengthen distribution and innovation in the insurance sector.
