Construction sites in Caaschwitz and Bad Köstritz see container destruction by LPI-G
The Gera Police are currently investigating two cases of aggravated theft that occurred on separate construction sites in Elsterstraße, Caaschwitz, and Hergerstraße, Bad Köstritz.
On 26.08.2025, unknown individuals broke into five construction containers on a site in Elsterstraße, stealing tools and two bags of returnable bottles. The estimated value of the stolen goods is in the mid-three-digit range, and the damage to the containers is likely to reach a four-digit amount.
In the case of Hergerstraße, four construction containers were forced open, but the perpetrators left without any loot. The damage caused is estimated to be in the low four-digit range, and they abandoned their plan at the site, leaving in an unknown direction.
