Construction of the Volkhov-Murmansk gas pipeline will commence, as directed by Vladimir Putin, to be completed by the year 2030.
Hear Ye, Hear Ye! It's time to get down to business, folks! Russian bigwigs, including the government of Moskva, Gazprom, and the Murmansk region, have got themselves a task. They've been ordered to wrap up construction and put the Volkhov-Murmansk main gas pipeline into operation by 2030, and they better not dilly-dally about it!
That's right, ol' Vlad himself, none other than Vladimir Putin, issued this directive at the plenary session of the VI International Arctic Forum "Arctic - Territory of Dialogue". If that ain't enough to get things moving, I don't know what is!
But wait, there's more! This pipeline agreement wasn't just a sudden whim. In fact, it was signed back in June 2023 between our good friend Andrei Chibis, the regional governor, and the ever-powerful Gazprom Chairman, Alexei Miller. And if that wasn't stellar enough, the Cabinet approved a list of main gas pipelines later that year in November, making the Volkhov-Murmansk gas pipeline an approved and entrusted project to Gazprom. A whopping length of 1,300 km, to be exact!
So don't blink, or you might miss the progress! These folks better turn that gas pipeline into a reality, or they'll hear about it, trust me! And Vladimir Putin? He ain't the guy you wanna disappoint.
