Vladivostok's Snake Mountain Area Plans to Launch "Housing for Russian Families" Project

The prospect of constructing housing units for Russian families in the Snake Mountain area of Vladivostok is gaining momentum. Notably, the only ongoing project within the Vladivostok city district, under the "Housing for Russian Families" program, is the Snowy Meadow microdistrict.

Initial plans for the Snake Mountain project had not accounted for a kartodrom within the proposed microdistrict. However, the department of urban development in Primorsky Krai has recently reported that necessary adjustments have been made, and the project is now eligible for federal participation. An auction for developers is anticipated soon.

The Snowy Meadow microdistrict is actively moving forward with the construction of four buildings, with preparations underway for an additional six objects across 15 hectares of land. Over 55,000 square meters are designated for economy-class housing, with 552 future residents already identified after two lotteries. Director of Primorkraystroy, Sergei Zaporozhets, has indicated that all 10 house projects will be completed by the end of the year.

Building activity on the Snowy Meadow site is ongoing day and night, with Primorkraystroy prioritizing local Primorsky producers. The company has placed orders with two local factories in Zavodskoy and Sibircevo villages.

Primorye is the sole region east of the Urals participating in the federal "Housing for Russian Families" program, boasting the largest number of participants in the country. The cities of Vladivostok, Nakhodka, and Ussuriysk represent the participating municipalities, with the highest number of registrants in Vladivostok district.

Vice-Governor of Primorye, Oleg Ezhov, highlighted that Primorye will soon commission the first apartments for the "Russian Family" program in Russia, with homes in the Rainbow microdistrict of Ussuriysk nearing completion.

An extension of the deadline for implementing the "Housing for the Russian Family" program was recently announced by Russian Minister of Construction and Housing and Utilities, Mikhail Men. Regions facing challenges in joining the program were given an extra six months, extending the deadline to the end of 2017. General Director of NPF Kamchatka-Korpus, Maxim Vedenev, has called for an extension beyond 2017 to attract new developers to the program.

For updates on the auction for developers related to the "Housing for Russian Families" project in the Snake Mountain area of Vladivostok, prospective sources include the official websites of the Primorsky Krai administration or Vladivostok City Hall, Rosreestr, torgi.gov.ru, local news outlets, and real estate agencies and developers in the region. Keywords to watch for include "Аукцион Змеиная гора Владивосток жилье многодетным семьям" (Auction Snake Mountain Vladivostok housing for large families) and "Housing for Russian Families" (Жилье для российских семей).
