Consortium to Transform ICC Berlin by April 2026

A consortium is set to develop a new utilization concept for the ICC Berlin by the end of April 2026. If their bid succeeds, they will refurbish, renovate, and convert the building, opening it permanently with a viable concept. The consortium, comprising local companies from construction, architecture, and related fields, brings extensive experience in sustainable development of complex buildings.

The consortium will work together to create a future concept for the ICC, with an award recommendation expected in July 2026. The planned utilization concept will focus on art, culture, creative industries, innovation, technology, and congress management. The consortium's experience in monument protection and pollutant remediation ensures a sustainable approach.

The ICC's future operator will be selected through this concept procedure. The building will remain under a 99-year heritable building right, with the land remaining the property of the State of Berlin.

The consortium's expertise and local ties promise a successful transformation of the ICC Berlin. Their utilization concept, due by April 2026, aims to create a vibrant hub for art, culture, and innovation, with the building's future operator to be determined by July 2026.
