Chevron Names Kevin McLachlan as New VP of Exploration
Kevin McLachlan, a seasoned energy executive, is set to join Chevron Corporation as its new Vice President of Exploration. McLachlan brings a wealth of experience from roles at major energy companies, including TotalEnergies SE and ExxonMobil Corporation.
McLachlan's new role will see him oversee Chevron's worldwide exploration news, starting November 1. He will be based in Houston, succeeding Liz Schwarze who is retiring in February after 36 years of service.
A geophysics graduate from the University of Calgary, McLachlan has extensive experience in international oil and gas exploration, development, production, and carbon capture and storage (CCS). His resume includes senior leadership and executive roles at companies such as Murphy Oil Corporation and Nexen Inc.
Chevron, one of the world's leading integrated energy companies, produces crude oil and natural gas, manufactures transportation fuels, lubricants, petrochemicals, and additives. It also develops technologies that enhance its business and the industry.
