Charitable Organization Founded by Wing Bank and Royal Group for Refugee Aid
In a heartwarming display of unity and compassion, the people of Cambodia, including students, street vendors, disabled veterans, and representatives from businesses like Royal Group of Companies and Wing Bank, have come together to support the displaced families at Wat Kiri Toul Andet refugee camp.
The Foundation for Refugee Assistance, a long-term initiative established by Neak Oknha Kith Meng and Lok Chumteav Neak Oknha Mao Chamnan of the Royal Group of Companies and Wing Bank, has been at the forefront of this aid operation.
The Foundation has set up eight donation booths across the offices of Royal Group of Companies in Phnom Penh, collecting both monetary and in-kind contributions. In addition, donations can be made via Gmoney, E9Pay, and Hanpass in South Korea; City Express and JME in Japan; and Western Union and MoneyGram in other countries.
To donate, users simply need to select "Account Transfer" on their mobile app, enter "Foundation for Refugees Assistance", input the donation amount, and confirm the transaction. All donations are securely managed and transparently distributed to ensure timely aid reaches those in need.
On August 3, four truckloads of essential supplies were delivered to the refugee camp, offering much-needed relief to the over 700 children and their families currently sheltering there.
The aid operation has also received support from Cellcard, a Royal Group subsidiary, which has provided additional assistance to frontline personnel.
Wing Bank and Royal Group appreciate all donors, including individuals, organizations, and communities, who have already contributed. While a direct donation link for the Foundation for Refugee Assistance may not be readily available online, donations can be made through similar organisations such as the Everyday Refugees Foundation or Gfoundation, which focus on helping refugees and displaced people worldwide.
Phakdey Vattanak, Group Chief Relationship Officer of the Royal Group, emphasised that the Foundation aims to provide support to families for the long term. This act of kindness serves as a reminder that humanity knows no boundaries, and real change begins when each takes responsibility for one another.
