Celebrating Variety and Harmony
The Integration Cup 2025, a vibrant festival of encounters, took place last Saturday in Euskirchen. The event, which serves as a symbol of unity, diversity, and integration, was sponsored by several esteemed organisations including Vogelsang IP, dm-drogerie markt, Procter & Gamble Manufacturing, Kreissparkasse Euskirchen, Volksbank Euskirchen, and EUGEBAU.
Mayor Sasha Reichelt kicked off the event, and fifteen teams participated in the tournament. Salih Yavuz, chairperson of the Integration Council, warmly welcomed the participants and led the proceedings.
A total of 50 games were played, each lasting 10 minutes, with matches being fair, friendly, and driven by healthy ambition. The atmosphere was electric, with enthusiasm palpable both on and off the field.
The youngest guests received lovingly assembled surprises, sponsored by the Volksbank Euskirchen and EUGEBAU. Meanwhile, children enjoyed a diverse range of activities, including a bouncy castle, face painting, and the popular Karlo Kloetzchen.
The Integration Cup encourages openness, respect, and togetherness, both on and off the field. It is a testament to the spirit of unity and diversity in Euskirchen. The Integration Cup 2026 is already scheduled for September 5, 2026, but the main organiser for the following year's event has yet to be announced.
As the final whistle blew, it was clear that the Integration Cup 2025 was more than just a sporting event. It was a celebration of community, diversity, and the power of sport to bring people together.
