According to the "Car Price" portal, a total of 33,245 cars changed hands in Krasnodar between January and May 2025 – that's a 15.8% dip compared to the sales figure in 2024 (39,498 cars).

This downward sales trend has affected much-loved brands and vehicles. Out of the top 30 desired cars, only 8 showed a rise in interest. Notable manufacturers, minus Chinese brands, Hyundai, Kia, Toyota, and Nissan, have seen a sales slump due to an influx of Chinese "iron horses."

Hyundai and Kia have seen a 34% dip each, Volkswagen has plummeted by 23.5%, and Russian Lada has shrunk by nearly 26%. On the other hand, Chinese brands are making a splash: BAIC has skyrocketed sales by over 25 times, Tank by 3.3 times, and Jetour by nearly 24 times. This drastic growth is attributed to expanding model ranges, competitive pricing, and aggressive dealer network development.

🔥 "Looks like our drivers and car enthusiasts are digging Chinese models more and more," says the head of Changan Exporcar's service department, German Kostulyan. "A year ago, brands like BAIC, OMODA, Jetour were hardly any-body's cup of tea. Today, they're solid players in the game."
💰 Practicality, affordability, and versatility are currently in fashion. Buyers are into compact sedans like Lada Granta and Kia Rio, as well as budget-friendly crossovers, such as Haval Jolion, OMODA C5, and Jetour Dashing. There's also a growing demand for used cars with low ownership costs, such as Daewoo Nexia, Chevrolet Cruze, and Opel Astra.
