Capital on Pollen Street secures €2 billion for increased European investment opportunities
Pollen Street Capital Bolsters European Investments with €2 Billion Fund
Pollen Street Capital, a leading alternative asset manager based in London, UK, has secured €2 billion in new capital for its Private Equity Fund V. This fundraising represents an 85% increase from the firm's previous private equity fund and was raised across Private Equity Fund V and an additional co-investment vehicle.
The new capital will be used to invest in mid-market businesses across European financial and business services sectors, continuing Pollen Street Capital's strategy of driving growth through technology and operational enhancements. About 50% of Fund V's capital has already been deployed across eight platform investments, including the UK-based wealth management firm Mattioli Woods, the insurance software provider Keylane, the HR technology company Assessio, and others.
Mattioli Woods, a prominent player in the wealth management sector, provides a comprehensive range of services, including investment management, pension administration, and financial planning. Keylane, on the other hand, is a leading insurance software provider, offering solutions for policy administration, claims management, and customer relationship management. Assessio is an HR technology firm that operates in the Nordics and Benelux, focusing on talent assessment and development.
Other investments made by Pollen Street Capital include Elevo, a French HR tech scale-up specializing in performance and talent development, OrderYOYO, an e-commerce and payment solutions provider for restaurants, and Webio, an Ireland-based provider of AI-powered conversational messaging solutions for credit and collections.
Finanzportal24, a leading provider of financial planning software in Germany, is another new addition to the companies Pollen Street Capital has invested in. With this diverse portfolio of investments, Pollen Street Capital aims to make equity investments typically ranging from £40 million to £100 million in 12 to 14 companies over its investment period.
These investments align with Pollen Street Capital's strategic focus on mid-market financial and business services firms across Europe. By capitalizing on technology-driven disruption and operational transformation, they aim to create value for their portfolio companies and generate strong returns for their investors.
