BW LPG hits 52-week high as LPG demand fuels stock surge

BW LPG's share price has climbed to a 52-week high of $17.22. The rise comes amid growing demand for liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) shipping and shifting stock markets. Over the past year, the stock has traded between $10 and $17, reflecting broader industry trends.

The company's stock performance has been shaped by several key factors. Rising global energy prices, influenced by geopolitical tensions and OPEC production choices, have boosted demand for LPG transport. Improved tanker utilisation rates have also played a role in pushing stock prices higher.

BW LPG operates a fleet of more than 50 vessels, many equipped with advanced dual-fuel propulsion technology. This edge in efficiency has positioned the firm well in a competitive stock market.

Institutional interest has grown as well. Norway's Folketrygdfondet recently increased its stake, acquiring an additional 90,000 shares. The fund now holds 5.01% of BW LPG, surpassing the mandatory disclosure threshold.

The company will release its Q4 2025 earnings on March 3, 2026, at 7:00 AM CET. A virtual presentation for investors and analysts will follow later that day at 2:00 PM CET.

BW LPG's stock surge reflects both stock market conditions and operational strengths. With earnings updates due in early March, investors will watch closely for further insights into the company's stock performance. The growing institutional stake signals confidence in its long-term stock prospects.
