ANNA Money Launches All-in-One Business Finance Super App in Australia

ANNA Money, a UK-based fintech company, has made its entry into the Australian market with the launch of an all-in-one business finance super app. The app, a result of a partnership with Australian wealthtech platform Shaype, aims to revolutionize financial management for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Australia.

The new app offers a range of integrated financial services, including invoicing, accounting, payment processing, expense management, and company registration. The AI capabilities of the app automate and personalize these services to cater specifically to the needs of SMEs.

One of the standout features is the AI-powered virtual office, located at the historic Cadbury Chocolate Factory at The Rocks. This virtual office serves as a service hub and interactive digital environment for users. The app also includes built-in expense management, receipt capture, and real-time transaction categorisation.

Andrew Laycock, CEO of Shaype, expressed pride in supporting ANNA Money's launch in Australia. He believes that the embedded finance infrastructure has the potential to create new user experiences in financial services. Ryan Edwards-Pritchard, CEO of ANNA Money in Australia, emphasized the importance of the collaboration in transforming the Australian SME financial landscape.

The app also provides an ANNA-branded Mastercard for corporate cards, automated tax tools, real-time business accounts with an Australian BSB/account number, and NPP-enabled payments. It is positioned as a "24/7 financial co-pilot" that consolidates business banking, tax, expenses, company formation, and cards into one platform.

Ryan Edwards-Pritchard believes that the current SME financial services in Australia have been inefficient, as tools have not been designed to work together seamlessly. He stated that the partnership with Shaype is a significant turning point for business finance in Australia, leading to the next generation of SME services.

Andrew Laycock believes that the infrastructure provided by Shaype is essential for ANNA Money to move quickly, stay compliant, and innovate at scale. He stated that the partnership with Shaype is crucial for ANNA Money to build an intelligent, agentic financial system that works continuously for business owners. According to Ryan Edwards-Pritchard, the new financial system being built by ANNA is designed to actively work for business owners around the clock.

The launch of the new product marks ANNA's entry into the Australian market, following its acquisition of fintech GetCape in 2024. The app's business formation features allow new entities to launch "in minutes". This move aligns with a broader push in Australia to modernize financial advice and business financial management using technology, particularly to serve independent financial advisors and SMEs better by automating tasks and personalizing advice.
