Coalition Views Billion-Euro Package as Vote of Confidence - Brandenburg injects €3 billion to revitalize crumbling infrastructure by 2036
Brandenburg has approved a three-billion-euro investment package to upgrade its infrastructure. The plan aims to improve roads, schools, and emergency services over the next twelve years. State leaders describe it as a key step in rebuilding public confidence.
Finance Minister Robert Crumbach led the push for the funding, which includes 1.5 billion euros for local projects. This money will go toward schools, daycare centres, hospitals, and sports facilities. Another one billion euros will be controlled by the state, funding regional roads, rail lines, and police services.
The investment package will roll out over twelve years, with early funds already earmarked for 2024 and 2025. Roads, bridges, and emergency services are among the first priorities. Lawmakers will continue discussions on how to allocate the remaining budget.
