Krasnodar bolsters 2025 municipal budget to foster public space enhancement and sports infrastructure
As reported by Yug Times on May 29, the city of Krasnodar is set to amplify its 2025 municipal budget substantially, with an addition of approximately 224 million roubles, 64 million of which are allotted from the regional budget.
The influx of financial resources will predominantly serve to enrich public spaces via a participatory budgeting model. In this initiative, three public zones—selected as winners in a regional competition for local initiatives—will secure funding, as will five additional sites chosen through a local municipal contest. A hefty sum of 87.6 million roubles has been designated for these development projects.
Furthermore, the rural settlement of Beloziorny can look forward to the construction of a cutting-edge sports complex, for which the city will contribute 7.7 million roubles, partnering with the federal government in co-financing.
The upgraded public spaces are expected to elevate residents’ quality of life by offering improved recreational and community locales. The investment in these areas may stimulate economic growth by attracting businesses and tourism, thereby contributing to overall development.
