Blackpink's Jennie Achieves Similar Milestone as Group Mates Jimin and V on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart

Let's dive right in, shall we? Jennie, the badass bombshell of Blackpink, is crazier than a cat in a toy store on the Billboard charts. Dropping two fresh tracks off her debut solo album, Ruby, she's added another feather to her cap as a solo artist and a K-pop revolutionary.

Jennie Takes Over the Hot 100

The Queen bee is back, and this time, she's bringing Dua Lipa along for the ride. "Handlebars," their collaboration, lands at No. 80 on the Hot 100, while "Like Jennie,'" her solo joint, snags the No. 83 spot. With these bangers, Jennie now boasts six entries on the competitive U.S. list, making her one of the most successful K-pop juggernauts to conquer the chart.

Jennie Ascends the K-pop Throne

Before the "Handlebars" and "Like Jennie" juggernaut hit the scene, Jennie was neck and neck with Suga of BTS on the all-time K-pop artist ranking. Now, she's muscle-checked past fellow solo heavyweights like Lisa, Psy, and NewJeans, and tied with J-Hope, Jimin, and V - three of her fellow BTS brethren who also boast six charting singles on the hot and steamy Hot 100.

Among soloists, Jennie now shares the silver medal for the most Hot 100 hits with Jung Kook, the BTS prodigy who's nabbed eight charting singles himself. Only the almighty BTS, with 27 smashes, and Jennie's own Blackpink squad, with nine, have managed more appearances on the list.

J-Hopejoins the Six-Hit Club

Jennie isn't the only K-pop solo artist making waves on the Hot 100 this week. J-Hope, the talented artist from BTS, has joined the six-hit club, thanks to his collab with Miguel, "Sweet Dreams," which launched at No. 66 on the Hot 100.

Jennie's Solo Hall of Fame

Jennie made her solo Hot 100 debut in late 2023 with "One of the Girls," a smash collab with The Weeknd and Lily-Rose Depp. The track scaled the charts as high as No. 51 and hung around for 20 weeks. While "One of the Girls" was a team effort, her other Hot 100 wins are all hers, and they all hail from her debut full-length, Ruby.

The top-charting song from the collection is "ExtraL," a powerhouse jam featuring Doechii that once ruled the charts at No. 75. Now, with "Handlebars" and "Like Jennie" added to the mix, all five of her solo Hot 100 hits are available on her debut project. The two other tracks from Ruby that charted – “Love Hangover” with Dominic Fike (No. 96) and "Mantra" (No. 98) – only spent a short spin on the lower rungs of the ranking.

  • J-Hope, another K-pop artist, joins Jennie in having six songs on the Billboard Hot 100, a feat achieved through his collaboration with Miguel, "Sweet Dreams."
  • Jennie's solo hit "ExtraL," featuring Doechii, was previously the highest-charting song from her debut album Ruby, peaking at No. 75 on the Billboard Hot 100.
  • Jennie initially made her solo chart debut with the collaboration "One of the Girls" featuring The Weeknd and Lily-Rose Depp, a track that reached No. 51 on the Hot 100 and stayed for 20 weeks.
