Bigg Boss Kannada Studio Sealed for Environmental Violations
Bigg Boss Kannada's studio in Bidadi has been sealed by authorities due to serious environmental violations. The studio, operated by Vels Studios and Entertainment Private Limited, had been running without the necessary licences for years.
The Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) issued an immediate stop-work notice to the studio. It was found to be using the premises for large-scale entertainment and studio operations without the required consents. This is despite repeated inspections and notices issued by district authorities and police.
The studio had been filming the popular reality show in a custom-built set for several years. However, Karnataka Forest, Ecology and Environment Minister Eshwar Khandre confirmed that the studio had not obtained the necessary licence to operate. Officials from the district authorities, police, and KSPCB locked the premises in response to the KSPCB's order.
The studio's operations have been halted, and it remains unclear when, or if, it will resume. The current leader of Vels Studios and Entertainment Private Limited has not been explicitly named in available sources. The KSPCB's action serves as a reminder of the importance of environmental compliance, even for high-profile productions.
