Beyond Meat® Releases 2024 Corporate Responsibility Report and LCA Study that Estimates Environmental Benefits of Beyond Burger® IV, Submits to CDP for First Time

Beyond Meat has released its latest sustainability and responsibility updates. The company’s 2024 Corporate Responsibility Report highlights progress in climate impact, packaging, and supply chain management. A new Life Cycle Assessment study also reveals significant environmental benefits of its Beyond Burger IV compared to traditional beef patties.

In November 2025, Beyond Meat submitted its first report to CDP, a global environmental disclosure platform. This followed the publication of its 2024 Corporate Responsibility Report, which detailed efforts across health, nutrition, packaging, and responsible leadership. The report also included a full corporate greenhouse gas inventory and a breakdown of U.S. packaging materials by weight.

The Beyond Burger IV, made with avocado oil, has been Clean Label Project Certified. According to the company’s Life Cycle Assessment study, this product uses 92% less water and 97% less land than an average U.S. beef patty. It also produces 88% fewer greenhouse gas emissions and consumes 28% less non-renewable energy. No national health organisation has publicly certified the Beyond Burger IV as of the latest available information.

Beyond Meat’s latest reports and studies show measurable reductions in resource use and emissions for its plant-based products. The company continues to expand its transparency efforts, including its first CDP submission. These updates follow ongoing work to improve sustainability across its supply chain and product lines.
