Berlin's economy senator, Franziska Giffey, is embarking on a trip to Warsaw. The visit is part of an internationalization strategy to strengthen global ties and access key markets. Giffey will be accompanied by representatives from companies, start-ups, and associations, focusing on cybersecurity, innovation promotion, and connecting start-ups.

Giffey's trip to Warsaw aims to promote Berlin as an attractive investment destination. She plans to meet with Polish companies and speak at a conference during her visit. The senator also sees potential for closer cooperation with Warsaw on topics such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, civil security, and defense tech.

Trade between Berlin and Poland is robust. In the first half of 2025, Poland was Berlin's largest trading partner, with a total volume of €2.4 billion. Exports to Poland reached €734 million, while imports amounted to €1.6 billion.

Giffey's trip to Warsaw is expected to further strengthen the economic ties between the two capitals. Her visit comes at a time when Poland is a significant trading partner for Berlin, and both cities have potential for cooperation in various tech sectors.
