Introducing the Bentley Bentayga Speed V8: A Powerful Combination of Performance and Luxury

Bentley has unveiled its latest offering, the Bentayga Speed V8, a powerful and dynamic SUV that promises to deliver supercar-level performance alongside the comfort and luxury synonymous with Bentley.

Powering the Bentayga Speed V8 is a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine, producing an impressive 650 horsepower (641 bhp / 478 kW) and an impressive 850 Nm (627 lb-ft) of torque. This makes it the most powerful Bentayga ever built, outperforming its W12 predecessors in both acceleration and top speed.

The Bentayga Speed V8 can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in approximately 3.4 seconds and boasts a top speed of 310 km/h (193 mph). These figures are achieved through a combination of higher-flow fuel injectors, a reduced compression ratio, and enhanced turbo control, which improve throttle response.

The Bentayga Speed V8 offers three driving modes: Comfort, Sport, and Enhanced Sport. Comfort mode retains the existing model's sophisticated levels of drive, while Sport and Enhanced Sport modes provide increased driver involvement and dynamic control. In Enhanced Sport mode, ESC Dynamic reduces ESC intervention, allowing extra drift angles or power-on oversteer, and Launch Control is included for optimal acceleration performance.

New features for the Bentayga Speed V8 include all-wheel steering for rapid low- and medium-speed maneuvering, with the rear wheels steering in the opposite direction at low speeds to improve agility and in the same direction at high speeds to improve stability. An optional full titanium Akrapovic exhaust system is also available, featuring four tailpipes for an aggressive engine note.

The Bentayga Speed V8 also comes with advanced driver assistance systems, including a head-up display, night vision camera, adaptive cruise control with lane guidance, and predictive adaptive cruise control for safer and easier long-distance driving.

Performance highlights include setting a record at the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed Hillclimb, where the Bentayga Speed recorded the fastest time ever for an internal combustion engine production SUV, reaching speeds of 130 mph during the record run.

With its combination of supercar-level performance, ultra-luxury SUV comfort, and advanced technology, the 2026 Bentley Bentayga Speed V8 marks a significant evolution in Bentley's flagship SUV line following the retirement of the W12 engine.

Although prices and market availability for the Bentayga Speed V8 have yet to be announced, a starting price of $220,000 is expected based on current model starting prices.
