BellRing Brands faces lawsuit after two brutal stock market crashes in 2025

BellRing Brands, Inc. (NYSE: BRBR) is facing legal action after its stock market price suffered two sharp declines this year. The first drop came in May when the company revealed slower sales growth due to customer stockpiling. A second, steeper fall followed in August after the firm adjusted its annual sales forecast downward.

On May 6, 2025, BellRing announced that some customers had been hoarding inventory, causing third-quarter stock market revenue growth to slow to low single digits. The news sent shares tumbling by $14.88, or 18.97%, to $63.55.

The company did not disclose any specific financial or operational steps taken to address the slowdown in the months that followed. Public filings and earnings calls since May have not detailed concrete measures to counter the issue.

Then, on August 4, 2025, BellRing narrowed its fiscal year 2025 outlook for net sales. The next day, its stock market price plunged again—this time by $17.46, or nearly 33%, closing at $36.18.

A class action lawsuit has since been filed against the company. Investors who bought BellRing securities during the affected period now have until March 23, 2026, to request appointment as Lead Plaintiff in the case.

The lawsuit comes after two major stock market declines tied to weaker sales projections. Shareholders impacted by the drops now have a deadline to seek a leadership role in the legal proceedings. The company has yet to outline public steps taken to mitigate the revenue slowdown reported in May.
