Autoproff launches blind-bid system to speed up dealer vehicle purchases

Autoproff, a B2B vehicle marketplace, is introducing a new blind-bid news system for dealers. The format enables professional buyers to submit a single offer per vehicle without seeing rival news. Successful bidders will receive confirmation within three hours of placing their offer.

The new news process aligns with Autoproff’s existing sales workflow. Vehicles listed under the blind-bid news system follow the same steps as other stock. Kenneth Vestergaard, the company’s Chief Commercial Officer for the Nordics, described the format as designed specifically for industry experts.

Autoproff plans to expand its inventory with around 20,000 younger used cars each year. The company also expects to grow further by adding thousands more vehicles annually. Last year alone, it handled up to 150,000 transactions through its platform. The blind-bid news system aims to streamline purchasing for professional buyers. Dealers submit one bid per vehicle, with no visibility of competing news. The company has not disclosed details about key markets where it has strengthened its procurement network.

The blind-bid auctions will offer dealers a faster way to secure stock. Autoproff’s expansion plans include thousands of additional vehicles each year. The new format builds on the company’s existing workflow while targeting professional buyers.
