Aquapulse secures ₹25 Cr to revolutionize shrimp and fish farming with AI

Aquapulse, a tech-driven aquaculture startup, has secured ₹25 Cr ($2.7 Mn) in its Series A funding round. The company, founded in 2022 by Abhishek and Abhilash Dwivedy, aims to transform shrimp and fish farming with digital tools and direct market access. Its services help farmers improve yields while cutting out middlemen for better profits. The startup offers an app-based system that lets farmers monitor water quality and predict growth in real time. Beyond farming support, Aquapulse handles grading, cold storage, logistics, and compliance after harvest. Plans are now underway to build an in-house processing facility, which will tighten quality control and boost profit margins.

To strengthen its tech capabilities, Aquapulse is investing in AI-driven harvest systems and refining its transparent pricing model. The company also provides digital expert advice to guide farmers in adopting modern techniques. With current operations in key aquaculture states, it aims to expand its network to 15,000 farmers across Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, and West Bengal. India's aquaculture industry relies heavily on shrimp and fish, with shrimp alone making up nearly 70% of export earnings. While other startups like AquaExchange offer digital solutions—including IoT devices, AI disease prediction, and market linkages—details on Aquapulse's specific tech comparisons remain unclear due to limited data.

The ₹25 Cr funding, led by NABVENTURES through its AgriSURE Fund, will help Aquapulse scale its operations. By combining digital tools with post-harvest support, the startup aims to increase farmer incomes and streamline the aquaculture supply chain. Expansion efforts will focus on bringing more small-scale producers into its network.
