New Head of Asset Management Announced at Moventum Asset Management
Carsten Gerlinger (53) has been appointed as the new Head of Asset Management at Moventum Asset Management, effective August 1, 2021. Gerlinger will be taking over from Michael Jensen, who is retiring from the company.
Jensen, who has been with Moventum since 2002, has been responsible for portfolio strategies at the firm. His tenure at Moventum, however, does not appear to have been discussed in terms of its specifics, including the reasons for his departure.
Gerlinger brings over 30 years of professional experience to his new role at Moventum. Prior to joining the company, he worked at Luxembourg-based capital management company Quint:Essence Capital, where he gained nearly 20 years of experience in private banking and portfolio management in Luxembourg.
Gerlinger's career also includes stints at Commerzbank, DZ Bank, and Deutsche Bank. His expertise primarily lies in asset management and financial services, although the exact details of his role at Moventum Asset Management have not been specified.
Since joining Moventum Asset Management in June 2015, Gerlinger has been a part of the team. However, it is unclear what roles he held prior to his appointment as Head of Asset Management.
