Apple’s New Hikawa Phone Grip Redefines iPhone Accessibility with Bold Design

Apple has launched a limited edition Hikawa Phone Grip & Stand, a new MagSafe-compatible accessory. The product arrives as part of the company’s 40th anniversary of accessibility initiatives. Designed in collaboration with artist Bailey Hikawa, it aims to support users with varying motor skills and grip strength.

The grip was developed with direct input from individuals facing challenges with muscle strength, dexterity, and hand control. Hikawa, a Los Angeles-based designer, interviewed iPhone users with disabilities to shape the accessory’s form and texture. Her work focuses on accessibility, blending ergonomic support with bold, abstract designs.

The Hikawa Phone Grip & Stand is now on sale through the U.S. Apple Online Store. Its adjustable design and textured surface cater to a wide range of users. The collaboration highlights how user feedback can shape more accessible tech solutions.
