Anupam Mittal: India's Gen Z Needs Crisis to Unlock Potential

Anupam Mittal, CEO of People Group and judge on Shark Tank India, has shared his thoughts on India's Generation Z and millennials. He believes they have grown up in a time of consistent economic growth, but also suggests that a crisis could be beneficial for unlocking their potential.

Mittal argues that every generation is shaped by the crises it faces. He believes that India's current young talent, Generation Z, has not yet experienced a significant crisis. This lack of disruption, he thinks, may have led to complacency among them.

He acknowledges the perception of youth entitlement but points out that some of his best colleagues and mentors are from Generation Z. Mittal believes that when a crisis does occur, it will push these young individuals to unlock their full potential.

The main challenges facing Generation Z in India, according to Mittal, are high youth unemployment, weak political institutions, mismanagement, social inequality, and the impact of global trade wars, which put pressure on the job market. These factors have led young Indians to demand fair opportunities and better prospects, driving them to engage more politically.

Anupam Mittal, a prominent figure in India's business landscape, believes that India's Generation Z and millennials have grown up in an era of economic prosperity. However, he also thinks that a crisis could be a catalyst for these young individuals to reach their full potential and drive change in the country.
