Anticipated Outcome: These Potential Value Stocks Might Lead in Performance Until 2030

Valuation might not seem important to some investors right now, but it still plays a significant role. Stocks with huge valuation metrics continue to surge, while value stocks have been lagging behind growth stocks. Yet, value stocks are set to take the spotlight soon. I believe these could be the three best-performing value stocks through 2030.

1. D.R. Horton

As the largest homebuilder in the US by volume, D.R. Horton (DHI) has maintained its leading position since 2002. Operating in 36 states, the company closed 93,660 homes in its last fiscal year, giving it a 14% market share for single-family new homes in the US. Despite a 160% increase in its share price over the past five years, D.R. Horton remains an attractive investment with a forward P/E ratio of 9.9 and a PEG ratio of 0.52. Given the severe housing shortage in the US, D.R. Horton's growth prospects are likely to be robust throughout the decade. However, D.R. Horton's primary challenges are high mortgage rates and the cost of building materials, making new homes expensive for some families. If these issues improve, this stock could be a substantial winner.

2. Moderna

Moderna (MRNA) gained popularity during the COVID-19 pandemic due to its leading role in developing and marketing the vaccine. Although COVID-19 vaccine sales have decreased lately, Moderna's stock is now considered a bargain. Trading at around seven times forward earnings, its enterprise value is only 3.6 times expected 2025 sales. With a second approved product, RSV mResvia, on the market, Moderna's peak annual sales could reach $1.5 billion. Despite investors dismissing Moderna's potential for its pipeline, the company anticipates ten product approvals by 2027. If it comes close to this goal, significant sales growth should be achieved by the end of the decade.

3. Pfizer

Pfizer (PFE) beat Moderna to market with its COVID-19 vaccine and offers a range of other products. Despite COVID-19 vaccine sales declines and patent losses for several top-selling drugs, Pfizer's stock trades at fewer than nine times forward earnings. The company has invested heavily in research and development and made key acquisitions, adding new products like RSV vaccine Abrysvo and cancer drug Padcev to its lineup. Pfizer's forward dividend yield of 6.4% is a nice bonus for investors seeking an additional return.

Despite the recent focus on growth stocks, value stocks are set to reclaim their place amidst the market's volatility. Investing in these three value stocks could provide attractive returns for investors as we approach 2030. Keep your eyes on these three as they aim to reclaim their rightful position in the market.

  1. Considering the potential for growth in the housing market due to the ongoing housing shortage, investing in D.R. Horton (DHI) could be a wise move, as its forward P/E ratio of 9.9 and PEG ratio of 0.52 indicate undervaluation.
  2. In the realm of finance and investing, Moderna (MRNA), despite its temporary decrease in COVID-19 vaccine sales, presents an attractive opportunity with its stock trading at around seven times forward earnings and an enterprise value of just 3.6 times expected 2025 sales.
  3. For those interested in value stocks, Pfizer (PFE) could be a compelling choice with its stock trading at fewer than nine times forward earnings, and the company's forward dividend yield of 6.4% providing an additional return.
  4. As autoimmune diseases are increasingly becoming a significant focus in medical research and development, investing in companies with strong portfolios, such as Pfizer, could potentially yield significant returns in the future.
