Brace yourselves, fellow residents of Yekaterinburg! From May 17 to 26, get ready to see some major changes in our tram system. The stretch of Syrómolotova Street from house No. 14 "v" to Sirenévy Boulevard will be closed for tram track repairs.

According to the city's Mayor's office, this closure will disrupt trams on routes No. 8, 12, 13, 15, and 23 on Gagarin Street, Malyshev Street, and Syrómolotova Street, between the "URFU" stop and the final station "40 let VLKSM".

Meanwhile, automobile traffic will also be restricted in the same section. But fear not, for our trusty trams will still be running, just modified to accommodate the repairs. Here's a breakdown:

  • No. 8: Machine-Building Station - Victory Street - Cosmos Avenue - Lunacharsky Street - Lenin Avenue - URFU - Gagarin Street - Blyukher Street - Shartash Station.
  • No. 12: Sports Palace Station - Moscow Street - Chelyuskintsev Street - Ural Street - Gagarin Street - URFU - Lenin Avenue - Lunacharsky Street - CPKIO Station - Lunacharsky Street - Kuíbyšev Street - Radíshchev Street - Moscow Street - Sports Palace Station.

  • No. 23: Machine-Building Station - Bebel Street - Khlopin Street - Verkh-Isetsky Boulevard - Chelyuskintsev Street - Ural Street - Shartash Station.

So, how can we navigate around these roadblocks? Fret not, for I've gotcha covered! Here are some tips to find alternative routes:

  1. Check the Official City Transportation Website - Look for updates on route changes due to repairs.
  2. Use Public Transportation Apps - Yandex Maps or Google Maps might offer information on route changes and detours.
  3. Contact Local Transportation Authorities - Reach out to them via phone or email for the most accurate and up-to-date information.
  4. Check Social Media - Transportation providers often announce service changes through their social media channels.
  5. Stay Tuned to Local News Outlets - Local newspapers or websites might provide reports on traffic disruptions and suggest alternative routes.

Remember to bear with the temporary inconveniences, and always plan your routes in advance. Happy riding, Yekaterinburg!
