Air Miles rebrands as Blue Rewards with faster points and perks
The Air Miles card is getting a fresh name and a major upgrade. Starting in summer 2026, it will become Blue Rewards, bringing new ways to earn and use points. The programme promises faster rewards and more flexibility for millions of members. The switch to Blue Rewards will introduce a simpler points system. Existing Miles will convert automatically into a single, streamlined balance. Members will also see accelerated earning on everyday spending, including fuel, groceries, and wholesale purchases.
The new programme expands where points can be earned and redeemed. Partnerships will grow, offering more options for collecting and using rewards. For example, 1,500 Blue Rewards points will equal $10 when spent in-store or on e-gift cards.
Blue Rewards aims to make loyalty more personal and hassle-free. The changes reflect a push to help members earn faster and redeem with greater ease. The transition to Blue Rewards marks a shift in how members interact with the programme. With more earning opportunities and a straightforward points system, the update targets a smoother experience. The full rollout is scheduled for summer 2026.
