Air India Streamlines Delhi Operations: 60 Daily Flights Shift Terminals

Air India Group is streamlining its domestic operations at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport. From October 26, 60 daily departures will shift from Terminal 3 to Terminal 2, while Air India Express will move all its domestic flights to Terminal 1. This change aims to accommodate Terminal 3's expansion and improve overall efficiency.

The relocation will affect Air India's domestic flights, which will now use four-digit numbers starting with '1' at Terminal 2. Meanwhile, Air India Express will operate solely from Terminal 1. International flights of both airlines will remain unaffected, continuing to use Terminal 3.

To facilitate these changes, Delhi International Airport will provide seamless airside transfers for through-checked baggage during inter-terminal transfers. Additionally, a frequent shuttle service will run every 10 minutes between Terminals 1, 2, and 3. Passengers with connections can expect smooth inter-terminal transfers, with Air India and Air India Express ensuring guest assistance throughout the process.

The Air India Group's adjustment to domestic operations at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport is set to enhance efficiency and passenger experience. With careful planning and coordination, the airport ensures smooth transitions during this phase of change.
