No wonder O’Brien was taken aback when he found out the proof-of-concept actually worked on the first attempt. "We were a little surprised that it actually worked on day one," he told me, despite it being the first agent to launch.

As Guy Feinberg from Oasis Security put it, "AI agents, like human employees, can be manipulated. Just as attackers use social engineering to trick people, they can prompt AI agents into taking malicious actions."
